Biography

Horst Kuttelwascher was an Austrian rower who participated in the 1960 Rome Olympics with the coxed fours. The crew (which included his brother Helmuth) finished an unfortunate fourth in their semi-final and was eliminated. Two years later the brothers won the bronze medal at the European Championships with the coxless fours.

Horst Kuttelwascher returned to the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, also with the coxless fours but now without his brother. The crew finished second in the B-final and was placed eighth finally.
