Biography

Austrian rower Sepp Puchinger partnered Manfred Krausbar in the double sculls at the 1972 München Olympics, but they were eliminated in the repêchage round. The pair won the silver medal at the 1969 European Championships, and also won the national title from 1968-71. Puchinger became a graduated sports teacher. He died from organ failure at the age of 35 in 1984.
