Biography

Carlos Van den Driessche competed at three Olympics Games – in ice hockey at the 1924 and 1936 Winter Olympics and as a rower at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics in coxless pairs, partnering his 1924 ice hockey teammate, Philippe Van Volckxsom. His ice hockey career lasted from 1922-40 although there is no documented evidence of him playing competitively from 1924-34. He started his career with Bruxelles CPB, but also played with Bruxelles IHC and Etôile du Nord.

Internationally Van den Driessche competed at the 1934 and 1935 World Championships and the 1923 and 1924 European Championships, winning a bronze medal at the 1924 Europeans. He later became a sports administrator, managing ice hockey clubs.
