Biography

Aldo Tarlao was an Italian rower who competed at the 1948 and 1952 Olympics, winning a silver medal in the 1948 pairs with. He won three consecutive titles in 1949-51 at the European Championships in coxed pairs, with Giuseppe Ramani, after winning silver in 1947. In 1947 he was Italian Champion in both the junior and senior championship in coxed pairs, competing that year with his 1948 Olympic partner, Giovanni Steffè. Tarlao was also a three-time gold medalist at the Mediterranean Games, winning the coxed pairs and eight in 1951 and the coxed fours in 1955.
