Biography

An Eagle Scout with two silver palms, Winslow Hall attended the University of California, graduating in 1933 with a degree in economics. He began working soon after, but was called to service during the war and won five battle stars before being discharged from the navy as a lieutenant commander. Upon returning to California, he went into the food and grain business and became quite well known in that business. In addition, Hall was noted for his community service, having served on countless committees and councils in his hometown, Piedmont, in Northern California. Hall pulled the bow oar for the Cal Eight at the Olympics.
