Biography

Bill Miller started rowing with the Penn Barge Club and helped them win a silver medal in the fours in 1928. After those Olympics, however, he joined the Penn AC and began sculling fulltime. He was national champion for four straight years in the single sculls, starting in 1930. Subsequently he turned professional and was again defeated by Bobby Pearce at the 1934 World Professional Championships.
