Biography

Benito Totti was an Italian boxer of the 1930s who studied at the University of Bologna and then joined the GUF (Fascist University Group). Representing Virtus Bologna, he won the 1932-33 Italian Championship as a middleweight. At the Berlin Olympics, he received a bye in round one, but was then defeated by German Addi Baumgarten. After the Olympics Totti quit boxing to devote himself to teaching as an instructor and journalist.
