Biography

Pakistani boxer Babar Ali Khan competed as both a flyweight and bantamweight during the early 1980s. In 1982 Babar won silver in the flyweight tournament at the Asian Games in New Delhi after losing to Teraporn Sang-Ano (THA) in the final. Two years later he fought in the bantamweight tournament at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, defeating Firmin Abissi (BEN), before losing to Robinson Pitalúa (COL) to be eliminated. One year later Babar was named the best boxer at the South Asian Games, and later worked as a coach with the Pakistan Boxing Federation.
