Sevdalin Minchev Angelov had the following podium finishes at major championships: 3rd in the 1996 Olympics Flyweight class (277.5 kg); 2nd in the 1991 World Championships Flyweight class (257.5 kg); 3rd in the 1994 World Championships Flyweight class (270.0 kg); 3rd in the 1997 World Championships Bantamweight class (290.0 kg); 3rd in the 1998 World Championships Featherweight class (310.0 kg); 3rd in the 1999 World Championships Featherweight class (315.0 kg); 2nd in the 1991 European Championships Flyweight class (252.5 kg); 1st in the 1992 European Championships Flyweight class (255.0 kg); 2nd in the 1993 European Championships Flyweight class (272.5 kg); 2nd in the 1994 European Championships Flyweight class (275.0 kg); 2nd in the 1995 European Championships Bantamweight class (302.5 kg); 2nd in the 1996 European Championships Bantamweight class (287.5 kg); 2nd in the 1997 European Championships Flyweight class (260.0 kg); 1st in the 1999 European Championships Featherweight class (317.5 kg); 2nd in the 2000 European Championships Featherweight class (322.5 kg).
