Biography

Ganpat Andalkar wrestled Greco-Roman at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. His best international tournament was the 1962 Asian Games where he won gold in the unlimited Greco-Roman class, and silver in unlimited freestyle. He received the Arjuna Award in 1964 and the Maharashtra government’s Shic Chhatrapati Award in 1982 for his contributions to wrestling.
