Biography

Roy Dunn wrestled at Oklahoma State University, then Oklahoma A&M. His major amateur achievement was winning the 1936 AAU title at heavyweight, which qualified him for the 1936 Olympics. After the Olympics Dunn wrestled professionally with the National Wrestling Alliance, primarily throughout the midwest. In 1949 he wrestled, and lost, to Lou Thesz for the World Professional title. In the pro wrestling database, www.wrestlingdata.com, Dunn is credited with 147 professional matches and at least 110 wins.
