Biography

Joe Sade was 1971 Michigan High School Champion and then attended Eastern Michigan University, before transferring to the University of Oregon. While at Oregon he was twice Pac 8 Conference Champion. Sade won the 1973 US Championship in Greco-Roman and competed at the World Championships that year. After retiring from wrestling Sade worked various jobs, as a self-employed logger in the 1980s, and then as a carpenter remodeling old houses. He finally settled on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where he started Joe Sade’s Carpet Cleaning Service in Vulcan.
