Biography

Austrian sailor Karl Ferstl partnered sailing legend Hubert Raudaschl at the 1980 Moskva (Moscow) and 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. They sailed in the two-person keelboat Star class on both occasions, and won the silver medal in 1980 when the sailing events were held at Tallinn (Estonia). They placed fifth at Long Beach in 1984. Ferstl was also the Austrian flagbearer at the opening ceremony at the Moskva Olympics.
