Biography

Athlete Walter Dießl was Austrian champion in 4×100 relay in 1965, 1967-68. He was selected for the 1968 Mexico City Olympics where he finished 12th in the decathlon. Dießl was one of the three world class decathletes from Austria in the 1960s alongside Horst Mandl and Gert Herunter.
