Marshall Limon

Marshall Limon demonstrated talents as a track athlete from an early age and first represented Canada abroad at the 1934 Intra-Empire School Boy Games, where he set a record in the 440 yards that lasted for 26 years. He then represented Canada at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where he was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the 400 metres and just missed a medal in fourth with the 4x400 metres relay, alongside Phil Edwards, Bill Fritz, and Johnny Loaring. He was also a reserve with the 4x100 metres relay, but did not start.

Limon’s athletic career ended when he signed up to fight in World War II and served with the Royal Canadian Air Force. After the conflict he worked as a manager of a chocolate factory and died of a heart attack shortly before his planned retirement.
