Marius Delaby earned one podium at the French Championships, placing second in the high hurdles in 1912. Previously, he also competed in high jump. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 he was entered in four events. In the 110 hurdles he advanced to the second round but did not qualify for the final, and he failed to advance past the first round of the 100 metres. In the high jump he had no mark and he did not start in the standing high jump.
Delaby was involved in the 1919 Inter-Allied Games competing in the 110 hurdles and acting as a judge in athletics.
