Biography

Sprinter Hans-Joachim Zenk came in eighth over 200 metres at the 1972 München Olympics. He won the 1975 European Cup with the 4x100 relay, and started at the 1971 and 1974 Europeans, both with limited success. The same was true for the 1973 European Indoors. However, Zenk still set an indoor world record over 60 metres the same year with 6.68. In East Germany, he won the 1975 national title in the 200 and added three more relay titles from 1974-76. Zenk was a teacher by profession.

Personal Best: 200 – 20.42 (1974).
