Biography

Andreas Ioannis “Andrew” Oikonomou was a Greek long-distance runner. Oikonomou was the last runner to finish in the marathon at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. Originally placed in 15th, he moved up to 14th place following the disqualification of Fred Lorz, after it transpired that Lorz had ridden in an automobile for most of the race.
