Biography

György Luntzer represented Hungary in three Olympic Games (1906, 1908 and 1912). His best result was in Athens, when he came fifth in discus throwing in Greek style. He won the national championships in discus three times and broke the national record twice. Luntzer achieved good results in other sports as well, especially in wrestling. After his sporting carrier he worked for the Hungarian Railway first in his hometown, Pozsony (Bratislava, today Slovakia) then in Kolozsvár (Cluj Napoca, today Romania).
