Biography

István Raggambi-Fluck was born in 1905 and was a specialist at the shorter distances. For years he was one of the best Hungarian sprinters. He competed at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics in the 100-meter dash as well as a 4x100-meter relay but failed to qualify for the final. He won Hungarian championship six times. After completing his sports career, he worked as a post officer and then as a state secretary, though he also participated in the leadership of the Hungarian Athletics Association and worked as a coach. The Raggambi Memorial Competition, for the 100-meter Hungarian Championship, is held in his honor.

Personal Best: 100 – 10.6 (1925); 200 - 22.0 (1928).
