Biography

Frédéric “Fritz” Eyschen played domestic football in Luxembourg in addition to representing the national team on three occasions. Between 1921 and 1928 Eyschen played as a forward for Spora Luxembourg, with the team winning the National Division title in the 1924–25 and 1927–28 seasons. He played in three international matches for Luxembourg, making his début in January 1922 in a friendly against France, winning 3–2. His other two matches both took place in April 1928, with defeats to Belgium and France. Eyschen was also a sprinter and ran in the 100 metres and the 400 metres at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, but did not progress beyond the heats in either race.
