Biography

Victor Asirvatham was a 400 metre runner who competed at the 1964 and 1968 Olympics. He competed at the 1962 and 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games for Malaya, running the 440 yards and the 4x440. Asirvatham is best known in Malaysia for his performances at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, in which he won 14 gold medals. He also won three medals at the Asian Games in the 4x400, silvers in 1962 and 1966, and a bronze in 1970.

Personal Best: 400 – 47.5 (1968).
