Biography

Mexican athlete Pedro Curiel competed in long-distance running events at the 1924 Paris Olympics. In the 5,000 metres Curiel finished in 12th place in his heat with only the top four advancing to the final. In the 10,000 metres half of the field of 32 runners failed to finish the course including Curiel. He was also scheduled to run in the 1,500 metres, 3,000 metres steeplechase, 3,000 metres team event, and cross-country race in Paris, but did not start in any of those.
