Biography

Dutch track and field athlete Joop Kamstra represented V&L in Den Haag in the 1920s. Kamstra specialised in the high jump and was selected to compete at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. His results were disappointing, however, with him tying for 28th place with four other athletes who all had a best clearance of 1.70 metres in the qualifying round. Outside of athletics Kamstra worked as a director of a company that dealt with cinema advertising.

Personal Best: HJ – 1.83 (1929).
