Franz, father of Robert Pfitscher, was an Austrian boxer who participated in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He was eliminated in his first bout of the light-heavyweight division by Poland’s Tadeusz Grzelak. Pfitscher was a four-time Austrian champion, at light-heavyweight (1952-53,1955) and heavyweight (1958).
