Biography

Clarke Scholtz was a South African track and field athlete who competed in middle-distance events. Scholtz ran in both the 800 and 1,500 metres at the 1936 Berlin Olympics but did not advance from the heats in either race. He also had the honour of being the flagbearer for South Africa at the Opening Ceremony.
