Biography

Birgit Lundström was a Swedish athlete. Lundström competed in the discus throw at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where she finished in sixth place. Two years later at the 1938 European Athletics Championships she finished in fourth place in the same event. Lundström was a multiple national champion in several throwing events. In 1935, 1937-–41, and 1944 Lundström was the national discus throw champion. She was the javelin throw champion in 1934 and the shot put champion in 1941. Lundström was also a member of the Swedish Athletics Association.
