Biography

Swedish gymnast and track and field athlete Albert Andersson represented Stockholms GF and Fredrikshofs IF, respectively. At the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics Andersson was part of the 24-man team that won the gold medal in the team-all round gymnastics event that was competed in the Swedish style. He was also an accomplished athlete and won the national title in the 110 metres hurdles in 1928. The same year Andersson competed in the hurdles and the decathlon at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, finishing in eighth place in the latter.
