Biography

Hugo Ericson was a Swedish track and field athlete who represented IFK Sundsvall. At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics Ericson competed in the pentathlon. His best distance in the long jump was 5.58 metres, which was followed by a throw of 43.74 metres in the javelin. Ericson then ran the 200 metres in 24 seconds, which put him in 18th place overall after three events. Only the top 12 placed athletes, however, then advanced to the next round, the discus, with the top six progressing to the 1,500 metres.
