Biography

August Nilsson was one of the three Swedes on the combined Danish / Swedish team that won the tug-of-war event at the 1900 Paris Olympics. Nilsson also competed in athletics at the 1900 Olympics, in the pole vault and shot put. He competed for Idrottsklubben Stockholm. Nilsson was born in Trollenäs, outside of Eslöv, and later moved to Stockholm where he eventually died.
