Biography

Swedish track and field athlete Bror Olof Svante Olsson specialised in the javelin throw. Competing under the name of Svante Olsson he finished in 13th place at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. He was also scheduled to compete in the javelin throw with both hands but did not start the event. At the Swedish championships he used the name Bror Olsson where he finished in third place in 1915, 1916, and 1923. There are also records of him using the surname Ryde in 1916 and 1923, although that name does not appear in Swedish census records.
