Biography

Adolf Reich was a Czechoslovak track and field athlete who represented SK Plzeň and Sparta Praha. A specialist in the hurdles and long-distance running, Reich was selected to compete for Czechoslovakia at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics. He finished fourth in his 110 metres hurdles heat with only the top two athletes progressing to the semi-finals. From 1927 to 1931 he represented Czechoslovakia on five occasions at international competitions. Reich was the uncle of Alena Reichová who won a team bronze in gymnastics at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics.
