Biography

Andrzej Biegalski was a heavyweight boxer who competed at the 1976 Montréal Olympics. He was European Champion in 1975 and was a three-time Polish Champion, winning as a heavyweight in 1974 and 1978 and a super-heavyweight in 1979. He later received a physical education degree at the University of Wrocław, but worked as both a driver in mines and a coach, training not only boxers, but judoka and shot putters. He also entered politics, running in the 2005 Parliamentary elections, but was unsuccessful.
