Biography

At the 1929 Texas Relays, Claude Bracey ran 9.5 for 100 yards, to better the existing world record of 9.6, although it was never ratified by the IAAF. In 1928 he won the sprint double at the NCAA Championships, representing Rice. His best finish at the AAU was second in the 1929 100.

Personal Bests: 100y – 9.5 (1929); 100 – 10.4 (1932); 220y – 20.9s (1928).
