Biography

Nick Carter’s best finish at a major meet was second at the 1925 NCAA mile, while running for Occidental. He finished third in the AAU mile in both 1927 and 1928. Carter also competed for the Los Angeles AC. He later did graduate studies at Claremont University. Carter became a track coach, starting in 1939 at Santa Barbara State College. He also coached the Peruvian Olympic team in 1936. Carter was also a track official for many years.

Personal Bests: 1500 – 3:55.8e (1928); Mile – 4:18.0 (1929).
