Biography

Melvin Dalton finished third in the 1928 AAU steeplechase, which doubled as the Olympic Trials that year. He ran for Seton Hall University. In 1925 Dalton was undefeated in all his college cross-country races and 2-miles track races. In 1980 he was inducted into the Seton Hall Athletics Hall of Fame. Dalton became a priest.
