Biography

Primarily known as a steeplechaser, Marc Davis ran that event at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, making the final and finishing 12th. After winning the 1986 Foot Locker Cross-Country Championship, the national high school championship, Davis ran in college for the University of Arizona, winning the 1989 NCAA Meet at 5,000 metres, and the 1992 NCAAs in the steeple. He won USA titles in the steeplechase in 1993 and in the 5K in 1998, finishing second in the steeple in 1994 and third in 1996. Davis also won the 1994 Goodwill Games steeplechase. He later served as a track & field coach at American University, and then as the Digital Media Manager for the Boston Athletic Association, which runs the Boston Marathon.

Personal Best: 3000S – 8:14.26 (1993).
