Biography

Charles Hennemann won the 1897-98 and 1902 AAU discus championship. His victory in 1897 was done with a world record throw of 118-9 (36.19). He was from Keokuk, Iowa but represented multiple clubs in the Midwest, including the Chicago AA, Detroit AC, Milwaukee AC, and Keokuk YMCA. He was chief of police in Keokuk for several years.
