Biography

Gary Morgan competed in the 20 km walk at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He competed at every US Olympic Trials as a walker from 1984-2004. During his career he also competed at the Pan American Games, the World Championships, the World Cup, and the Goodwill Games. Morgan later worked as an electrician for General Motors for many years before retiring. Morgan was inducted into the Michigan Sport Hall of Fame, and in 2011, he was awarded the Jackie Joyner Kersee Award for dedication to track and field and community service.
