Biography

Whitey Overton finished second in the 1948 NCAA steeplechase and was third at the 1948 Olympic Trials. At the NCAAs Overton placed sixth in the 1949 2-mile and the 1950 mile. He competed for Alabama Polytechnic, later known as Auburn University. Overton worked for Shell Oil for 32 years, then worked for Premix, Bailey Corp., and was the President of E.P.I.C.
