Apart from taking the bronze medal in the triple jump, Tom Cronan placed sixth in the long jump. Cronan was from Waterbury, Connecticut but competed mostly around Boston, where he represented the Shawmut Running Club. He worked as a millwright through World War I, but later was a supervisor at a brass manufacturing company.
