Biography

Ines Bautzmann was an East German speed skater who participated in the 1976 Winter Olympics at Innsbruck. She finished just outside the medal positions, finishing fifth in the 3,000 metres, seventh in the 1,500 and a disappointing 15th in the 500. That same year, she won her only East German national titles, in the 1,500 and 3,000 metres events.

Personal Bests: 500 – 41.6 (1979); 1000 – 1:24.36 (1981); 1500 – 2:10.89 (1981); 3000 – 4:37.64 (1979); 5000 – 8:37.0 (1976).
