Biography

Lindy Cochran came from the first family of American skiing, the Cochrans. Two of her sisters and a brother also competed for the US in alpine skiing. Lindy skied for the University of Vermont from 1978-81. She was US National Champion in slalom in 1973 and the giant slalom in 1976, and made All-American in 1979 at Vermont. In World Cup races, she had one podium finish and seven top tens, mostly in slalom. Two of her children, Jessica Kelley and Tim Kelley, have become members of the US Ski Team, while another son, has played high level college football and baseball.
