Biography

Kerrin Petty skied cross-country at the 1994 and 1998 Winter Olympics. Petty was basically a Swedish-American after meeting, and marrying, Jörgen Nilsson. They settled in Sweden where she did some announcing on Swedish radio for ski races. Petty won the 1998 women’s section of the Vasaloppet and the unofficial women’s Vasaloppet in 1994 and 1996. She was Swedish Champion over 30 km in 1996 and in 1996 and 1997 won the Tjejvasan. Petty worked as an environment and health-protection inspector of Forshaga Municipality in Sweden.
