Biography

Lynn von der Heide-Spencer-Galanes competed for A. J. Diamond High School in Anchorage and attended the University of Alaska, where she majored in physics. Her best year was 1982 when she was US champion at all three distances (5/10/20K). Her best World Cup finish was ninth at a 10K in Canada in 1983. She competed for the US at three Winter Olympics and multiple World Championships.
