Biography

Italian cross-country skier Innocenzo Chatrian’s first major international tournament was the 1954 World Championships, where he was 38th in the 15 kilometres and 27th in the 30 kilometres. His next stop was the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Olympics, where he was 25th in the 15 kilometres and fifth in the 4x10 kilometres relay, alongside Pompeo Fattor, Ottavio Compagnoni, and Federico De Florian. Chatrian’s last major appearance came at the 1958 World Championships, where he placed 39th in the 30 km. By career he was a police officer, but later took up ski instruction and became recognized for his distinguished performance in this field.
