Biography

Ted Crowley played three times for the US at the World Junior Championships (1988-90) and then played two years at Boston College. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fourth round of the 1988 NHL Draft, but elected to go to college. In 1991 he was All-Hockey East first team and a second team All-American.

Crowley eventually briefly played parts of three seasons in the NHL, appearing in a total of 34 NHL games. He was with the Hartford Whalers in the 1993/94 season for 21 games, with the Colorado Avalanche for 7 games in the 1998/99 season, and with the New York Islanders for 6 games the same season. He otherwise bounced around the AHL (American Hockey League) and IHL (International Hockey League) with several different teams from 1991-2000.

In 2000 Crowley moved to Germany where he played four seasons in the German League with the Kassel Huskies, Essen Mosquitoes, and the Hamburg Freezers. He then ended his playing career with a season with the Memphis Riverkings of the CHL (Continental Hockey League) in 2004/05.
