Jack Dale skated for the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1968. He had a short career playing minor league hockey. He played in 1967-67 for the Minnesota Nationals of the US Hockey League, was with the Johnstown Jets of the Eastern Hockey League in 1967-69, and from 1969-71, was with the Seattle Totems of the Western Hockey League.
Dale worked multiple jobs, including construction worker, a hospital lab tech, substitute teacher, and owned his own print brokering business. He eventually retired and starting painting landscapes and abstract art, which he successfully sold to many parts of the country.
