Biography

Peter Dascoulias skied for the Tilton School in Tilton, New Hampshire and later for the University of New Hampshire, graduating in 1972. He also earned an MS in adult education from Kansas State University and an MA in international relations from Webster University. He grew up as a top water skier on Lake Winnisquam in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.

Dascoulias competed in biathlon while in the Army, skiing for the US on World Championship teams in 1974 and 1975 and was US Champion in the 20 km event in 1976. Dascoulias served in the Army for 22 years, retiring in 1994 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He later became a high school Spanish teacher, worked at the New Hampshire state prison and also has been a commercial pilot, working for corporate clients and as an airline transport pilot. He has served several terms on the Board of Selectmen of Sanbornton, New Hampshire and has also been a chief flight instructor at Rabigh Wings Aviation Academy in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
