Biography

Italian ice hockey player Umberto Gerli began his career with AMDG Milano in 1940 when he was 15-years-old. Gerli spent his entire career with clubs in Milano, winning eight Italian league titles; four with Milano Inter, three with HC Milano, and one with Diavoli HC. He made his international début in March 1946 in a 4–4 draw against Switzerland. Gerli played in 48 matches for the national side, including seven games at the 1948 St. Moritz Olympics.
